I am an independent graphic designer and social documentary photographer based in India.
I create visual narratives about people and their experiences. My work takes me to places to capture stories of people’s lives, their successes and failures, of policies that govern them and their grass-root realities. I believe that photography is a powerful tool that can help to create understanding across communities and address sensitive global issues. I aim to strike a natural balance of artistry and documentation in my captures.
When not travelling and shooting, I am engaged in graphic design, branding and illustration assignments. My independent design projects are both in the social development and corporate sector. I am interested in projects that provide me the challenge and opportunity to use a combination of my skill sets in design, illustration and photography
I am a graduate of the National Institute of Design, India. I have been commissioned on projects with USAID, Girl Effect, Howard Delafield International, JHPIEGO India, UNICEF, UNDP, UNWOMEN, Adventz Group, Actionaid, Azim Premji Foundation, UNFPA, Population Council, Damien Foundation, VHAI and more.
I am a contract photographer with UNICEF and UNDP in India.
